On Friday 13, March 2022 Diepkloof residents organised a march to the Diepkloof Police Station to handover a memorandum to the Station Commander. Residents are concerned by the level of crime happening in their community and the lack of adequate police response.
Community leader Mbali Radebe, who led the peaceful march to the DK police stations presented the memorandum on behalf of the community to the Station commander Brigadier Maake.
Residents and the police managed to engage in a peaceful dialogue to outline and discuss the grievances that were presented by the residents.
Police commander promised to give priority to the demands of the residents, she also assured the residents that the Police are working hard to address the situation. The DK Police are also concerned about the rising level of crime in the community and the lack of capacity and resources at their station.
